After a three months artist in residence at the Françoise van den Bosch Foundation, I will present my research at achter de ramen, in Amsterdam. Join us the 30th of July, from 5pm, to know more about the stories behind my project !
From the 1st of May to the 31st of July, I will be joining the Françoise van den Bosch artist in residence, named after the Dutch jewellery designer, who died in 1977. I will be working in the Rian de Jong studio, experimenting on new techniques and researching on a whole new project.
For the next 6 months, I will be staying at the Villa Kujoyama, an artist in residency runs by the French Institute in Kyoto. I will do some extensive research on traditional crafts and on hair ornaments (kushis, kanzashis).
Villa Kujoyama is managed by the Institut français of Japan in association with the Institut français. It is one of the most prestigious French cultural institutions outside of France, along with Villa Medici in Rome and Casa de Velasquez in Madrid. It is also the only French residency for designers in Asia.
