An article about my work, Marion Delarue, With Hide and Hair, is part of the latest Art Aurea magazine. Beautifully written by Julie Metzdorf, it shows my studio as well as a selection of my pieces. In addition, the FengHuang is on the cover of the magazine !
From the 1st of September to the 15th of October, the Cheongju International Craft Biennale is on view at the Culture Factory in Cheongju, South Korea. On this occasion, my work has received an Honorable Mention from the jury.
After a three months artist in residence at the Françoise van den Bosch Foundation, I will present my research at achter de ramen, in Amsterdam. Join us the 30th of July, from 5pm, to know more about the stories behind my project !
The piece Sangtu, made of mother of pearl and Korean natural lacquer, has just received the Jury Special Award – Shinya Yakamura Prize at the Ishikawa International Urushi Exhibition, in Kanazawa, Japan. The show is dedicated to artworks made of Japanese natural lacquer, also called Urushi.
The very last catalogue of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs about its permanent jewellery collection is featuring one of my feathered piece, the Parrot Devotee 5. The work as been acquired by the museum in 2020 thanks to the generous support of the Cercle Design.
On the 15th of May, I will hold a lecture at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, I will explain the making process of my pieces through studio pictures and show how my work plays with the confusion between authenticity and imitation. Let’s meet at the FedLev auditorium from 5pm to 6.30pm, the entrance is free.
From the 1st of May to the 31st of July, I will be joining the Françoise van den Bosch artist in residence, named after the Dutch jewellery designer, who died in 1977. I will be working in the Rian de Jong studio, experimenting on new techniques and researching on a whole new project.
The Tennennomono series is featured in the beautiful book « 72 saisons à la Villa Kujoyama, published by the Gallimard editions. Really happy to be part of this exciting project.
